Privacy policy
Last updated October 4, 2026
RouteHero is operated by Humble Ambition LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("RouteHero", "we", "us"). This policy covers routehero.io, the RouteHero app, and the RouteHero plugin for ChatGPT and Codex. Questions go to tam@routehero.io.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, company name and role, and your sign-in records. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider.
- What you enter: addresses you map, your service and territory, account statuses, notes, customer lists you upload, and requests you make, such as outreach requests.
- Billing: your plan and payment status. Card details go to our payment processor; we do not store card numbers.
- Usage: pages viewed and actions taken in the product, recorded in our own server logs together with standard request data such as IP address and browser. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
- Calls you book: the name, email and any notes you give when you book a call through our scheduling page.
Business and contact data
RouteHero shows local businesses from public business data: names, addresses, phone numbers, websites and categories. For paying customers we may also hold business contact details for people at those businesses, such as name, job title, work email and work phone, obtained from business contact data providers or uploaded by the customer.
If you are one of those people and want your details corrected or removed, email tam@routehero.io. We will remove them from RouteHero.
Why we use it
- To run your account: build and score your territory, plan routes, keep your lists and notes.
- To run outreach you ask us to run, and to report its results to you.
- To bill you, provide support, and tell you about changes to the service.
- To keep RouteHero secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
We do not sell your account data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who receives it
Service providers that run parts of RouteHero for us, each only for that purpose:
- Vercel (hosting and server logs)
- Neon (database)
- Clerk (sign-in, accounts and subscriptions) and Stripe (card payments)
- Mapbox and OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service (maps and turning addresses into map locations)
- Google (the scheduling page for booking calls)
- PlusVibe (sending outreach email and receiving replies, for customers who use outreach)
Within RouteHero, your company's accounts, statuses, notes, uploads and contacts are visible only to people in your company. The public business listings on the map are the same for every customer in an area. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business.
ChatGPT and Codex
If you connect RouteHero to ChatGPT or Codex, you sign in with your RouteHero account and we send OpenAI the results of the requests you make there, such as the businesses, scores, routes or campaign results you ask for. OpenAI handles that information under its own privacy policy. The plugin only reaches your own company's data, and you can disconnect it at any time in ChatGPT's settings. Market sizing in the plugin works without signing in and returns counts and estimates only, never business names.
How long we keep it
We keep account data while your company is a customer. When you leave, we give you a full export and then permanently delete your company's data from RouteHero; backups roll off on their normal schedule. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. We keep billing records as long as tax and accounting rules require. See Your data for more.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion by emailing tam@routehero.io. Account owners can also export data in Settings.
- Disconnect the ChatGPT or Codex plugin at any time from ChatGPT's settings.
We answer requests within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, which we honor.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, each company's data is isolated from every other company's at the database level, and access is limited to the people who need it to run the service. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you.
Children
RouteHero is a business service and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top. For material changes we will also tell customers by email.
